  1. When in doubt, throw it out! (When trash is found in the recycling dumpster the entire load goes to the landfill. If you鈥檙e unsure, please throw it away.)
  2. All recyclables must be clean and mostly dry

Compost

Creative Dining partners with the local composting service, Paradise Composting, to compost all pre- and post-consumer food waste in the dining for the majority of the academic year. This both reduces the amount of waste sent to the landfill and reduces our overall greenhouse gas emissions, all while helping create rich, healthy, local compost. (Due to storage limitations, we are unable to compost during the warmer summer months.)

Our campus grounds crew also composts all leaves collected on campus, which has allowed us to meet 100% of our mulching needs without purchasing additional materials.
